The alliance is focused on carbon capture and storage, offshore wind, hydrogen, critical raw materials, batteries and green shipping: are areas where Norway can play a leading role. This agreement is expected to bring jobs within renewable industry in the coming years. A green alliance with the EU will provide a framework for partnerships on such value chains, and for cooperation in other areas such as climate, energy, transport, sustainable financing and research. The agreement is not legally binding.
