Bærum Hospital first in Norway to use artificial intelligence for treatment

AI will make a permanent contribution to diagnostic imaging, emergency room and emergency department. Four other hospitals in Vestre Viken will follow suit. The experience will then be used to implement this throughout Health South East. During testing, AI has proven extremely good at precisely detecting non-violations, which is very important. Around 70 per cent of patients who come in with a suspected fracture do not have a fracture. The government hopes that AI can solve the large deficit of healthcare personnel that is expected in the years leading up to 2040. However, there are claims that that managers in Helse-Norge have not sufficiently internalized the problems and dangers of artificial intelligence. It is important to test the algorithms properly at Bærum hospital before the technology is transferred to other hospitals
