Green investments in Norway come to a halt

Cost increases, lack of power and high taxes have led many green projects to be delayed or postponed. Offshore wind investment has been one of the most affected. Government support is not enough, companies claim. In fact, in order to restructure the industry to replace fossil energy with new ventures, a considerable investment is needed. The USA government provides the successful climate package IRA, which has attracted plenty of players, However, there are also some projects moving forward here. Certain projects in northern Norway have received approval for more electricity . Among them are Narvik hydrogen’s fuel cell plant and Aker Horizon’s ammonia factories in Narvik and Berlevåg. It is important that there is a steady supply of land, power, infrastructure and labour. In addition, companies need a more flexible power grid and the construction of the necessary infrastructure for power exchange.
