Norway has strong public data registers, high digital competence and strong universities and research institutions. This should be exploited to maximize the use of AI in public administration, healthcare, education and industry. All the government’s major green industrial plans are completely dependent on the use and development of artificial intelligence, be it offshore wind, CO 2 management or hydrogen and battery factories. IKT refers to the government’s Green Platform scheme, which provides companies and research institutes with financial support for research and innovation-driven green growth and restructuring. They want a similar arrangement for artificial intelligence.
