Kristiansund municipality currently has building automation connected to a top system in 28 buildings. These buildings are mainly connected to two systems: GK Cloud, provided by GK Inneklima, and Desigo Insight, provided by Caverion. Free competition has been practised for local automation in the building projects, but requirements have been made for BACnet communication so that the buildings can be linked up in the aforementioned top system for building management.

A new cloud-based top system for building automation will now be procured. This will be implemented in the 28 buildings that are currently connected to the top system, and it will be the top system for future buildings. The system must be future-oriented. It should be prepared for future possibilities and requirements for smart building management.
