The current eSigning is a shared system for public organisations that implements electronic signatures with personal certificates. There are over 600 public organisations that use the system. The system is procured on the market. Digdir is the central administrator.
The existing contract with Posten Norge AS expires on 12.04.2024. To begin with, Digdir would like the new agreement to apply from this date, however, in Annex 3 Establishment Plan, Digdir states that establishment may take place by the end of September 2024. This is done to create more competition for the system.
