UiT will procure services for the development of software for the Divvun group c/o the HSL faculty, department of language and culture. The overall purpose of the procurement is to further develop tools and services to support indigenous and minority languages, and in particular Sami languages.
A contract will be entered into with several Suppliers, where mini-competitions will be held for each individual call-off. The procurement has a duration of two years, with an option to extend the contract for a further two years, for a total of 4 years. Examples of project types that can be covered by the framework agreement are:
– development of a web portal for language technology and tools for minority and indigenous languages
– integration of grammar checker tools
– integrate speech synthesis into the larger system
– optimise iOS keyboard app for a faster and more seamless user experience
